Later, I learned about the "hazards of sitting for a long time". When sitting, the electrical activity of the muscles is almost zero, and the body's metabolic energy consumption is extremely small. Over the long term, heart rate, metabolic rate, insulin availability, and high-quality cholesterol levels all drop. Multiple studies have shown that people who are sedentary are significantly more likely to develop cardiovascular disease, cancer, depression and type 2 diabetes.
For the health of our comrades and ourselves, we have quickly researched various feasible standing office solutions. All it takes is a little DIY spirit and execution to put it into practice quickly and solve the problem. Up to now, several public standing desks in the office have been installed for more than half a year, and they are "overcrowded" every day. It is necessary to queue up for a limited time before they can be used in turn. It seems that it is necessary to have a standing desk for all the friends who know the taste. The weight loss effect of the extra calories consumed by standing work, as well as the relieving effect on the drowsy state after a full meal, make everyone work longer and longer standing. Sometimes, after lunch, I work all afternoon standing up. Even at home, I've installed a stand-up office environment using one of the simple methods described below.
